Trick is having a template, glued/taped on paper pattern, and cutting within the lines. Close enough to minimise further sanding/finishing but not so close as to overstep.
The good thing about a Jeweller's Saw is that when you find yourself deviating from the line it is easy to correct it, unlike a Hacksaw which will just carry on along the wrong path.
