Here is something you may want to try:
Format the USB Drive then connect it to the Raspberry Pi (While the drive is still Blank)
(Note: I would suggest naming the Disk something you will recognize. IE: USB DRIVE)
Next, Using your browser connect to the Pi that is running moOde
Then Go To Config > System
Scroll down to File Sharing and enable SMB (Samba) - AKA Turn it ON
You may want to reboot at this point (helps to put it all in a known state)
Now you should be able to mount the USB Drive on the
Raspberry Pi From your PC and be able to copy files to it.
Then it's just a matter of copying the files over to the drive.
When they are done being copied run "Update Library"
and you should see them appear in the Library.

Then in the future, all you need to do is connect to the USB drive
to add or remove/rearrange the files then run Update Library again

It will depend on your network speed as to how long it will take to copy the files over.
