And yes... I never thougth about that "I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that sometimes a new or trial release of moOde (as well as its open-source brethren) will unexpectedly output 0 dB during setup. May you never have your downstream system cranked up on at the time!".
In my case, I don't use the moOde volume control (read: direct out, max out), so I rely on the amp/pre-amp to control the volume. I don't think this could cause a risk?
