Is this thread now obsolete? I think current version ( 9.2 ) can fetch Spotify metadata.

It does not seem to forward it to the currentsong.txt file, however. Is it by design or bug?

(I ask because I'm using the currentsong.txt to feed an external small OLED display with a "Now playing..." kind of info.)
