I've been running a moode system for a good number of years now, based around a pi 3B+ and hifiberry Amp+, with a 7" pi touch screen display. Originally I had it in a smartipi touch case. It all worked well, but I wasn't very keen on the offset hinge design of the case, and my installation of speaker terminals on the rear of it was rather inelegant. I decided to design a case that I could print with my 3d printer. Here's the result - it has an angle adjustable display, with a rotary encoder for volume and push to play / pause. I added a small case fan to keep the internal temperatures down, with a script to adjust the fan speed relative to system temperature.
I'm pretty happy with result. If anyone is interested, I can share the print files, along with a list of parts that I used. If there is interest, I can look into producing a version that would fit a Pi 4. Sadly I don't yet have a Pi 5 or a touchscreen version 2 (unless anyone would like to donate one to the cause!), to make a compatible version for those.
I found taking photos without lots of reflections hard, so here are some renders from fusion 360:
