Yes it can work. I have tested but I have no use for it.
There is another script to activate it but its not a part of this instruction.
Once you run the script only digital in through DAC works. Display is OFF that time

The SPDIF script is activated with remote "Menu" button. (amixer command)

And you keep volume display when switching to SPDIF input Smile

Thanks for info [Image: smile.png]

First post updated. Now 'Remote control & SPDIF input' support instructions added.

And again, I take no credits for any of the work.
Big thanks for extended help with this going to the @audiophonics guys

Thanks for putting this together ! Works wonderfully.

Just a heads-up... after an update  you need to run the install again for the new kernel..
As of today this...

Code:
cd Q2M

sudo cp i-sabre-codec.ko /lib/modules/4.14.76-v7+/kernel/sound/soc/codecs/
sudo cp i-sabre-k2m.ko /lib/modules/4.14.76-v7+/kernel/sound/soc/bcm/
sudo depmod -a
sudo cp i-sabre-k2m.dtbo /boot/overlays/
----------

Powered by I2C Allo Piano 2.1 + Kali Pi 2. I just edited the moode_oled_1.54_spi_audiophonics.py. Used this image https://mega.nz/#F!dVBlCSJa!L4qBhHiVt9ily_2pI6uMuA

Nice one Wink  Looking forward to hearing from you.
A little advice. DAC board comes fitted to the bottom PCB. Check the connections between these two is OK. I have an issue where they missed pins on one of the header connector. So the remote was not working. I was scratching my head for two days as I could not figure out why the code does not work Smile Turn out it was this HW issue and not the software

Well, the kit arrived this morning and it's now up and running with the supplied volumio image. Just need to fine tune to suit my system. Most impressed with the quality of the kit and the display. The only problem so far is that the supplied power cable has a male usb plug on the end, was hoping to connect it to my ipower supply, lucky I have a Anker battery so will use that for the time being. Tomorrow I will see if I can get it up and running with moode.

I use it with my ULPSU which has the standard DC jack(you have a same connector more likely).
So I have just ordered and using this adaptor https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=...3110512105
