If this works, these plus the Japanese and Korean fonts can be included in upcoming moOde 8.1.0

Yes, these font packages work for me to display the Chinese metadata from our sample file in moOde's local display. Note the Chromium browser has to be restarted for the newly installed font to take effect. I simply rebooted.
I found last night that installing the xfonts-intl-chinese package did not work despite it seeming intuitively obvious.

Since I know nothing about Chinese writing we should probably have @ chaos333 check to be sure the glyphs being displayed are correct!

finally we've got a way out and i will try it tonight to install the asian lanaguage support.
