I am using a iFi PowerX, wich is a significant upgrade from the standard Raspberry pi one. I have also ordered a Ian Canada UCPI to start my stack from the bottom . Attached a picture of my DAC, standard hifinet kit, except I have substituted the Audiophiler caps with some nice Bennic ones I had in my sparesbox.
Hardware: Intel NUC running Roon ROCK - Auralic Vega or ProtoDAC - Bottlehead Moreplay - Clones Audio 25P - DIY Seas/Vifa in wall loudspeaker. For headphone listening: Flux Lab Acoustics Fa-12s - Sony MDR-Z1R.
Now that I have been enjoying the ProtoDAC on Pi 4B for a few weeks, I am looking into using the ProtoDAC on Pi 2W. My understanding is the GPIO is the same for both 4B and 2W, hence, it should work.
Now how about the sound quality? Has anyone tried this on 2W?
My major concern is there is only 512M RAM in 2W and I wonder how this will affect the MoOde software.

The 2W is bit noisier than the Zero W. I don't think you could tell without a back to back comparison. The Zero W is my regular RPi, and the 2W has quite a bit snappier response. Memory used is 44% with default MPD buffer settings (4MB audio and 128MB output buffer).
Hardware: RPi Zero W | Allo Kali | ProtoDAC TDA1387 X8 | PGA2311 | Icepower 500ASP | Harbeth SHL5 Software: Moode 8.3.3 Source: Win 10 NAS
Received my kit from Mark. It was very easy to build. I did a quick test using Volumio to verify functionality.
Now I just need to figure out how to set up MoOde Pre5 for Bookworm since I am using a Raspberry Pi5.
