[PROBLEM] Spotify volume via Chromebook app

Spotify Connect works great using MoOde renderer from iPhone allowing full control, including volume with the iPhone buttons.  
However, when I use Spotify from a Chromebook app I am unable to control the volume.  Everything else works fine. Suggestions?

I don't own a Chromebook so not able to investigate but maybe someone else that has one can help.

I had the same issue on Android 9, but updating the Spotify App fixed it.
