Problem: Headphone EQ
#1
As a relatively new user to Moode I'm using it in my little headphone stack of an Rpi4 (4GB) USB > Topping E30 DAC > Topping L30 Amp. This all sounds fine (obviously) but I'd like do some headphone EQ using Jaako Pasanen's AutoEQ settings to get the best out my 'phones but this is proving a bit challenging.

Moode's EQ seem to be rather limited for this purpose. The fixed band EQ seems to use a non-standard mystery scale for the sliders and the parametric only has 4 bands. AutoEQ recommends at least a 5 band parametric and preferably 10 or more to properly equalize a headphone, and the fixed band needs to have a standard dB scale ...

I know AutoEQ can output a 4 band version of the EQ, but obviously this is not optimal. And I can just eyeball (earball?) the fixed bands – but it would be nice to be able to do it properly.

So how are you all doing headphone EQ in Moode?

Hi bluefuzz!

Im in exactly the same situation as you. Same dac, same amplifier and the same target.

Im a huge fan of AutoEq. Im using it properly on android. Neutron player app is marvellous to equalize headphones. My Koss Portapro, KZ ZS10 PRO and the Phillips Fidelio X2HR sounds astonishing after the equalization.

Now I want to try on moodeaudio. Have you make it?

Regards!!
