Lirc - changing Spotify tracks

Hello,

I`ve been succesfully using Lirc for a while and it works perfectly with content from NAS. Is it possible to control Spotify with it as well? I would like use commands like next/prev, stop/pause/play using my physical remote control.

Moode cannot send commands "up stream" to Spotify I believe.
