You or someone else would need to address the problem in open issue #350 in the MPD Git repo regarding the lyrics tag.

That might be possible. Zip up some sample songs with populated lyrics tags and PM me a download ink.

How would the lyrics be displayed in the UI?

hello Tim,
even if i WAS a programmer , iam completely out now and unfamiliar with these new languages.

I was impressed by Kodi when i used it, that is able to read and download in real time lyrics, or explore open artist databases and show results in gui. This is done by a lot of free addon freely downlodable.

I dont know NOTHING about the work it needs to do all this on Moode (that i actually use because i think it 'sounds' better than Kodi) , but i think it would be great if Moode could show some other data when listening music.

I dont know also, if this would be useful to all the other users, or if it could push Moode unstable or damage sound quality in anyway, so please, consider my opinion just as a wish from one that LOVE all the work behind Moode and the sound that cames from it, but ignore anything about how it works inside. thank you

Hi Tim, is there any chance that Moode 8.xx comes with a lyrics display? Embedding something like OSDlyrics would be a nice to have.

It's on the TODO list for moOde 8 series but the issue with song lyrics in general is that lyrics databases are typically not Open Source. I'll look the OSDlyrics repo.
