Problem: Volume getting reset to 0.00db
#1
I am on moode audio version 7.4.1.My device is allo boss2 player.

Issue:-

1.Set up following document.
2.Made volume changes on the interface at moode.local.
3.Volume on each restart is always set at 0.0 db
4.On disconnecting and connecting back airplay the volume gets reset to 0.0 db.

is there any conf file where i can add the volume level so that atleast that stays and gets read during each restart?problem is each time i have to reach the boss2 player to change volume and repeat this process most of the times i reconnect from airplay. Also changing volume from moode ui is inpossible once connected via airplay and i got to disconnect to be able to change volume on the ui.

Is there any workaround that i may have missed?

When Airplay, Spotify or Bluetooth clients connect to moOde the device volume is set to 0dB and an overlay screen is displayed to prevent changing any settings. The device volume is set to 0dB because the actual volume is set by the client Airplay, Spotify or Bluetooth app. This ensures that when the client volume is 100 the overall system volume is 0dB.

This mechanism has worked reliably across many moOde versions. If your image is not working as described above there may be some sort of breakage. I'd try a fresh 7.4.1 image.

ok so you mean that my allo boss 2 player showing 0.0db is working as intended when connected via airplay right and that the volume will be set or controlled via the device from which i am casting via airplay. Please correct me if i got it wrong

Thanks a lot Tim for confirming.

However i saw that the volume can be changed using the hardware button on the Allo player and then the volume can be changed from 0.0 db.

The only thing is neither the UI or remote can be used to change it.

Device volume controls are external to moOde and so they act independently.
