Just a note that I have updated various players which were running either 8.2.0 or 8.2.1; in all cases using the latest in-system update without issue.
On-screen keyboard working well on local display.
Spotify renderer working against Spotify apps on my iPad (iPadOS 15.7) , Pixel 3A (Android 12), and Linux laptop either individually or in combinations of two or more viewing and controlling the renderer.
Both Airplay 1 and Airplay 2 renderers working against my iPad as source.
I like the split off of a separate Renderers configuration page...after a moment of panic when I didn't see the renderers listed on the Audio configuration page
Nice work, Tim.
Regards,
Kent

There ist no landscape mode anymore , ugly
On what device?
on my iPhone 7 there isn't, and TTYTT I am very glad, as the very lower part of the screen (maybe 10 pixels...?) was cut-out. But on the 7'' RPi display there is.
Cheers, Al

What the usage scenario? The UI doesn't fit in landscape orientation on phones.

Oh, I didnt know it wasn't supposed to work.
It was just one of those things that I expected to work.
Useful when browsing a library list with long filenames.

Right, it was never designed to support landscape on phones. Lots of native IOS/Android apps lock to portrait because their UI's are not designed for landscape mode. Theres no message, the orientation just doesn't change.
Since Moode UI is not a native IOS or Android app it can't be portrait locked in that way so instead a simple CSS media query is used to display the overlay message when the viewport height is <= 432px and orientation is landscape.
Code: /* Don't show UI in landscape on Smartphone sized screens */
@media (orientation:landscape) and (max-height:432px) {
#landscape-backdrop {display:block;}
}
The viewport height of 432px was chosen because the sites that list viewport sizes for most phones don't show anything > 428px. There may be some outliers but I could not find them.
