Moode for car audio!!

Already used PI4 with moode for car audio more than a year.  Everything was fine & the sound quality very good!

Directly use android head unit be the screen (Wifi hotspot）

   

Replace the Clock of the PI4 & setup 4 GPIO buttons for control.

   

Use QU02 be the bridge (optical out) to Alpine X09 CAR DSP...

My friend customizes a convertor to me. 12V change to 5V 4A。 Pretty good in preformance, no background noise when playing music.

Ha! You're a braver man than I. Great work! I can see many advantages of this kind of set up.

I listen to Moode in the car via bluetooth, but I remotely connect to the web stream at home. I have the choice of directly streaming FLAC, or to use the processed AAC stream. I use a VPN to connect to the streams at home and to also control Moode. The biggest disadvantage is that it relies heavily upon a good quality mobile signal to make this work! It's usually ok unless I'm in a busy or low signal cell. The advantage is that I only need a phone and bluetooth adapter in the car, nothing else.

It's all swings and roundabouts as they say!
