I've installed MoOde 8.3.6 on an RPI3 with a Hifiberry DAC+ (I think - the one with the XLRs), and I'm trying out AirPlay from my iPhone 13 Pro.
Using Apple Music, Airplay 1 works fine, the MoOde device doesn't appear in the selections on my phone when I switch MoOde to Airplay 2 (with the default settings).
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot why Airplay 2 doesn't seem to be working?

Reboot and post the startup log.
moodeutl -l or download it from the Logs section of System Config.

Right but please post the log text itself and not a zip file download so it's easier for everyone to read.

lol, only when the text is not in a code box ;-)
Btw, I happened to be testing a hifiberry dac+adc and no issues with airplay 2. It's always works ok for me.
Maybe someone will be able to repro your issue.

I would not expect this issue to result from using a particular DAC.
In a quick check, a moOde 8.3.6 player on a Pi3A+ set to use AirPlay 2 protocol and driving a USA DAC shows up on my iPad 9.7 (iOS 17.1.1).
What phone & OS version isn’t finding the moOde AirPlay renderer?

Kent

Uh, oh. I seem to have spoken too soon.
I switched the moOde renderer to AirPlay 1 protocol---the iPad sees it and connects to it---so I switched back to Airplay 2---the iPad seemed at first to see it but couldn't connect and then the selection disappeared.
Color me confused.
