Resampling and UPNP: impossible?
#1
I've read that SOX resampling is only possible with audio files plaied by MPD. But nowadays online streaming services are becoming every day more popular, maybe at the point that it might not anymore make sense to have a local library...
I only resample 44KHz files to 176KHz, everything else is untouched. It'd be very nice to get the same under UPNP (Qobuz, where many albums are red book).

IMHO the less you "touch" a music file the better, but unfortunately high quality multibit non oversampling DACs requires upsampling for CD quality music (otherwise there's a around 1db loss at 10KHz and 3db at 20KHz).

I know that something similar could be made by Camilla DSP, but SOX works fine and it's "easy". So my question is: is this simply impossible? Even strictly for 44 to 176KHz only?

Thank you!

The UPnP renderer in moOde uses MPD for playback and so the SoX settings would be in effect.

Ops... sorry Tim. I don't know what I did read about.

Great news anyway :-)

Thank you.
