Install Issues - Can't get WiFi enabled
#1
I've done this twice before, so pretty sure I'm not totally clueless.

Wrote image to the card using the Raspberry Pi Imager.
Connect the RPi to router with ethernet cable, and connect using moode.local
Click on Menu > configure > network and get the page to enter SSID and password
Enter SSID and pw, click save and it hangs, immediately

Once this happens I can't get back to the active SSID screen (stops on config page) until I restart the Pi
There is a message on the front page saying that an Access Point password needs to be entered. Where? How do I get there? I entered a password when I was on the screen initially but don't know if it saved before it hung.

So I removed the card, flashed it again and this time pre-entered the SSID and PW for my network. I opened the page and entered the same information in the SSID section on the Network page, and entered a password in the Access Point and clicked save, but I don't know if I was supposed to be making a new password, or if there's a secret password that I was supposed to enter. The instructions say to see the Security Section but that doesn't seem to exist in that document.

Now I can load the main page, but when I go to the Config page any of those config options I click will hang except Clock Radio. Nothing else works. So something is wrong and I don't know what or how to fix it.

I'm sure the second time I did this it was easy and I had the whole thing set up in 20 minutes. What do I need to do? I appreciate your help.
Thanks-

Using the RPi imager did you set a user and password ? You set the ssid and network password. Did you toggle through the RPi imager tabs and tick ssh ? and finally you saved and applied ?

If yes to all then you may want to connect to your moode device via ethernet and check the network settings, adjusting where needed then restarting with wifi.

This could be a bug.

Code:
1. Wrote image to the card using the Raspberry Pi Imager.
2. Connect the RPi to router with ethernet cable, and connect using moode.local
3. Click on Menu > configure > network and get the page to enter SSID and password
4. Enter SSID and pw, click save and it hangs, immediately

Please redo steps 1 and 2 exactly as you did earlier and then post the startup log.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from the any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.
Enjoy the Music!

Thank you both. I reflashed the card with all the fields pre-filled in the Raspberry Imager and was successful.

It took awhile to figure out how to find the Library, as someone else posted about. I was stuck at search with the radio only. One of the sort (album/artist, etc.) combinations in preferences results in incomplete track lists in my albums, but I've forgotten which exactly.

Looks like quite a few changes in this release, with some UI enhancements. I appreciate the good work. Hopefully smooth sailing now.
