Have got the image written onto a micro sd card, so am ready to boot up my RPi.

My question is - is it essential to connect a monitor to my RPi in order to configure Moode (I only have hdmi cable, and no micro hdmi adapter) OR will I be able to access Moode on my network PC (with the RPi connected via ethernet cable to the network) using the Moode.local web address?

I know these must be dumb questions, so thanks for the ongoing patience!

Read, then re-read the setup guide.
If you have used the Raspberry Pi Imager, and set the required username/password combinations, then you'll be set on the usual web access method.

A friend put the Raspberry Pi Imager onto a micro sd card for me - did the the required uername/password need to be done as part of the Raspberry Pi Imager install, or does that get done within the Moode setup page?

I put the sd card in and was able to access Moode Local through my pc. However, I couldnt find how to enable SSH - well I could see the setting how to switch that option on but it wouldnt allow me to open the SSH terminal.

Anyway, I attempted some other settings and now all Moode will do when I try and change settings is spin round endlessly so I must have entered a wrong network path or something. Is there anyway I can get access back into Moode settings, or is it likely I will have to start again with a completely new Moode download and/or Pi Image?

I am stuck at a point where re-reading the setup guide continually just isn't helping me - I cant get into any configuration settings so need to know (a) whether I should bail out and start all over again from scratch (including a new Pi Imager download), or (b) whether there is an option to reset somehow using my current sd card with Moode already installed on it.

As easy as it always goes: you (well, your friend, supposedly) "forgot" to set username, password, and possibly enable the SSH _BEFORE_ flashing the image.
All this is written and underlined, and marked as important in the setup guide.

As others have already said: do read the setup guide; it is there for a reason.
