Five years ago in a fit of boredom I explored using rclone to provide access from moOde (ca release 6.x) to cloud storage systems such as Dropbox and Google Drive. It worked. I passed my thoughts on to Tim and to an interested user (try searching the forum on rclone and my username) but I had no practical use for the result so moved on to the next interesting challenge.

That's still the point of departure I'd recommend. If something better has come up in the meantime I'd be interested to hear that too.

ok thank you. I'll look into it (with help of a friend who's more knowledgeable than I am). We'll report back if sth comes up...
Until then I'll use upnp or try Plexamp for "my" use case (which is actually a setup that I build for a friend who isnt tech savvy at all and using different apps like bubble won't really work for him).
