I recently built a ProtoDAC from one of Mark's kits and learned the basics of the moOde audio player. This was my first attempt at using a headless player and as such I found it a little confusing because attaching the Pi to a monitor the moOde player defaulted to HDMI output.
Previously with my RPI I used Kodi, the main reason being Kodi made it easy to use one central RPI as a music file server provided everything was running Kodi.
