Hi, just a quick question.

I'm trying to setup a Pi Zero, with HifiBerry DAC+ Zero to use iton my room.

This is the he playback info. Everything sounds quite good (a little less clear as expected, but good sound)
Anyone can tell me if everythingis correct?
I don't understand why it says mixer:none and if this is something that must bother me

Thx in advance.
Ps: it also says pcm5101a, but the chip in the card says 5100a. It weird to

I have had the same setup in the past but don’t have it running right now. I do have some pi zero 2w’s running with hifiberry dac+ (the full size not the zero one) and for Mixer on the moode audio info tab it says ‘Digital’. I know the dac+ zero is software volume control only but I would have expected it to say something for the Alsa Mixer name instead of N/A

I would expect it says digital too. But, only because I'm comparing with a Pi5 with an iQaudio DAC. Maybe this is the problem. I insist, everything seems to work quite good.

Anyways, Ifound this reply on the Hifiberry support. Maybe it is an answer?

Reboot and then post the contents of the startup log.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from  any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

Correct. The DAC+ Zero does not have a hardware volume controller (mixer)
