Potential problem with upgrade of Allo Boss2
#1
I have an older Allo Boss2 that I use as a roon endpoint intermittently. I last updated it, 9/24/2024. I recently got it out to test it and do a moode upgrade. I first had to change the gateway setting in the Network config as I had changed ISPs and needed to change my router IP to 192.168.1.2. Next I checked for updates, and the box found a current update version. When I ran the upgrade, it looked like it partially installed. The kernel upgrade (to 6.6.74) appeared to work but the install of moode-player 9.2.6 1moode1 failed and the process exited at step 4 of 32.

After running the partial upgrade, The System config tab shows that moode is running the current version (9.2.6) and if I check to see if there is an update available it doesn't find any.

Also, when I try to access the Renderer config page, I just get a blank white page.  All of the other config pages show up without issue.

I'm assuming that the update only partially worked.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Well, that certainly explains some things....thanks. Need to decide how much effort I want to put in this. I'm just using Moode for enabling my Boss2 as a roon endpoint. Think I might try converting it to RoPieee first. I have several other Pi/DAC combo's running RoPieee and they have been much easier to maintain. Not Moode's fault but the Boss2 has been way more of a pain to keep functional than any other component in my whole house system.
