Nonetheless, I've considered your point, but :
1 : no, the phone never connected to a BT Moode device before, afaik
2 : the 'odd' Mo0de1 Bluetooth address is the one which is working .......

I really cannot fugure out all this mess, and more particularly why do I have 3 BT addresses and a network name popping out of nowhere (well actually maybye choosing 'Nowhere' as a network name wasn't that smart but I was inspired by America's song)

I will reset the entire configuration and start all over from scratch and see how things will be going.
The Domovoï probably peed in the configuration ....

OMG, would this mean that the Mo0de device has to see itself as a BT output device ?
Because in my case my concern is all about using the phone to send music to the Rpi (I have the output set to a HiFiBerry amp) even if I may consider also re directing output to aBT helmet but I had enough mess for today

I'm not sure I understand the question. What you do with moOde's Bluetooth input is separate and distinct from the Bluetooth output. You can't use both at the same time. 

What I showed is that I have both my phone and my JBL speaker associated aka paired with moOde's Bluetooth interface, I can use either the phone as input or the JBL as output but I have to switch the Bluetooth control between "Local audio" and "Bluetooth speaker" to do it.

BTW, have you looked on your moOde player's Renderers config screen to be sure of the name you've assigned to the Bluetooth renderer? I'm guessing it's "Moode1 Bluetooth"...but it's only a guess.

I looked up the two MAC addresses you posted.

68:4D:B6 is a vendor code for Xiaomi Communications Co Ltd, which presumably is the vendor of your Android phone (or at least its Bluetooth controller chip).


B8:27:EB is indeed a vendor code for Raspberry Pi Foundation.

After a fresh install everything works great.
There's still the casting issue from VLC to the Mo0de/Rpi using the renderer option - working on it
