[SOLVED] Update to 9.3.0 cancelled

I'm glad to hear Venerdi's issue has been resolved. Good to hear.

OK, but....
I'm still trying to figure out what could be going wrong here.
My setup is quite simple.
- RPi 4, connected by Ethernet to my router.
- A 4-port USB hub, powered with a separate 5V DC SMPS, so that I can attach a SATA hard drive in USB enclosure with enough current delivery to get it to work.
- Topping E30 II DAC, connected by USB to the 4-port USB hub.

I thought I had followed instructions correctly.
- Wrote image to uSD card using RPi Imager.
- Made sure to put in my own username and password.
- Moode looks like it installed and runs properly.

The problem comes when I run Library > MPD > Regenerate Music Database.
- Is that the right place to do that? (I thought so, but it's worth asking...)
- I waited until the spinner disappeared and then went to the Library view.
- Normally I'd see a dropdown to the upper left and I'd switch to Tag view. But that is not present, but is replaced by a Search field.
- I don't know if it's significant, but there are only 26 radio stations showing. Were a lot of them taken away in this release?

Or is all this because I didn't run Backup before running the update? I guess I should have run Backup and then Restore once I had the new Moode version up and running. My bad.

Or is this indicative of the uSD not getting all files from the image? Hmmm.... I think I'll re-download the image and reinstall on a different uSD card, just to make sure. It could be that this uSD card is dying. That's happened to me before...

It certainly sounds like thing are missing from that image, which would most likely be a bad card. Did the Pi Imager complete its "verify" step?

Strangely, yes, the RPi Imager completed the verify step with no error.

I'm thinking the USB-C to USB-A adapter I was using might be to blame. (I was running the RPi Imager from my newer laptop with USB-C ports.)
Today I'm going to try connecting my USB-A SD-card reader directly into a USB-A port on my older laptop.

If that doesn't work, I'd like to try booting from a USB thumb drive. I think I have some USB 2.0 thumb drives lying around. Does Moode 9.x.x running on a RPi 4 support booting from a USB thumb drive?

Another little detail.

I flashed the uSD card from my older laptop.
RPi Imager verified installation, so I installed the uSD into the RPi 4.
First boot was done without the external hard drive or DAC connected, just the Pi connected to the network through ethernet.
This time Moode came up with only 27 radio stations loaded.
I shutdown the Pi.
Connected USB drive and USB DAC.
Went to Configure > Library > MPD > Regenerate Music Database.
The spinner stopped after a few minutes, so I went to Regenerate Thumbnail Cache.
When I did that, it said the Thumbnail Cache was still be generated.
If I go to the main screen (showing Tag view, I think) and I click on Update Library, it says Library is being updated.
Does that mean the Regenerate Music DB spinner stopped prematurely, and I hadn't let the regenerate command complete yet?
What kinds of errors should I expect to see if I click away from the Configure > Library screen before the Regenerate Music DB procedure is finished?

Reboot and then post the entire contents of the startup log. I'll have a look and see if there is anything suspicious.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

That looks ok to me, especially the second to last line...
From the moOde's main page(as you call it) tap / click on the big moOde image on the right side of the screen; that will bring you to the Library view...
Here you should see 30 artists on the left, albums on the right, with thumbnails.

Wow. Am I ever embarrassed. Well, I'm sorry to put everybody through that trouble. Nutul, you hit the nail on the head, as they say.
I actually should have known that, being that I've been using Moode 9.2.x (I think I upgraded from 9.2.4, but I can't remember) for a while now, and Moode since 3.x.x in the past.
