I’ve found username and pw used during the installation

Now when i go with

shh username@localhost

then the pw, it doesn’t work

Think i have to re-flash the sd card and re-start from the scratch

That means you should know both username and password your SD card was setup with...
If you're not sure, it simply means you didn't...

Hello again!

Finally I logged in via ssh, but with an external terminal app. Impossible to me to log in directly through the moOde embedded interface.

Removed the directory of the ghost usb hd, but the problem remains (see screenshot).
Do you suggest to repete and remove the directory?
Then I could rename the hard disk and mount it as a new one. What do you think?
Thank you

Random thoughts

1. I notice the file system(s) on this drive are formated as Apple's HFS+ filesystem. I have no experience with these but ISTR reading somwhere that the Linux driver for this filesystem type had problems with large, e.g., 2+TB filesystems. Can someone knowledgeable with Apple systems comment?

2. Does this drive have more than one partition?

1) haven’t had any problem so far

2) no

anyway, I think I’m going for a new fresh install, after the bugs of this later version of moode have been fixed

Yesterday it was the one with an underscore in the end
Today, after proceeding with the instructions suggested by Tim, the ghost is the 2 tb black without underscore. NB, these two names refers as a matter of fact at the same drive.

I also tried to connect a second usb hard disk (the back up of the former) it appears as mounted in the library setting, but it doesn’t appear in the library folder.

What a mess! Smile

Just for grins, I erased an old USB thumbdrive, created two partitions on it, and formatted one with an extfat filesystem (Windows) and the other with an ext4 filesystem (Linux).

I placed a different album in each.

Plugged it into a moOde 9.3.0 player and---zip, zap, zowie, and swosh---it was automounted with the two partitions showing up on /dev/sdc1 and /dev/sdc2 (there's already a USB drive with a few music files mounted on /dev/sda1)

Here's what the lsblk command says about the drives on my player

Code:
rho@moodey:~ $ lsblk
NAME   MAJ:MIN RM   SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINTS
sda      8:0    0 931.5G  0 disk
└─sda1   8:1    0 931.5G  0 part /media/Data
sdb      8:16   1  14.8G  0 disk
├─sdb1   8:17   1   512M  0 part /boot/firmware
└─sdb2   8:18   1  14.3G  0 part /var/hdd.log
                                /
sdc      8:32   1   984M  0 disk
├─sdc1   8:33   1   500M  0 part /media/MyWinPart
└─sdc2   8:34   1   483M  0 part /media/MyExt4Part

As I said,, there's a USB drive on /dev/sda with some music files; my moOde USB boot disk on /dev/sdb; and my test USB ddrive on /dev/sdc.

What do you see on your player with the USB drive mounted?

ETA - Also, what do you get when you run the following command from the terminal?

Code:
sudo fdisk -l
