Solved: Spotify connect not connecting
#1
Hey all,

I bought a RasPi 5 the other day, and set it up with Moode and a HiFiBerry DAC+ to connect to my stereo.
I can play audio (test file, radio stations and over Bluetooth) through Moode just fine.
The device does show up in my Spotify connect list, but when I try to connect to it it says "connecting" for a while, and then just doesn't.
I've tried googling for similar issues, either with Moode or with Librespot, but haven't had much luck.

I'm running Moode 9.3.5, and this is what it tells me the system specs are:

RPiOS: 12.11 Bookworm 64-bit | Linux: 6.12.25 64-bit
Model: Pi-5B 4GB
Audio: HiFiBerry DAC+

If there is any additional info or logs I should add that could help troubleshoot this, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

[EDIT]
Solved by restarting all my network devices and the device the Spotify client was running on.

It requires a Spotify Premium account.

Assuming you have a premium account, this sort of thing is often sorted by restarting everything. Shut down moOde and turn off the RPi, turn off the phone or whatever you are using the spotify client on, shut down your router. Then turn the router back on, wait until it fully rebooted, then start moOde, wait for it to fully reboot, then the spotify client device.

I do have a premium account, I forgot to mention that. Restarting everything has indeed solved the problem, thank you!
