Hi,
There is an in-place update for RC1 that provides important bug fixes and improvements. It can be installed via System config by checking for software update.
NOTE: You must first be running the most recent release candidate which is moOde release 5.0-RC1-21. The update only applies to this specific version.
The update includes the following:
Code: UPD: Add covers to Library Tag view
UPD: Bump to wiringPi 2.50
UPD: Bump to rotenc 1.1
FIX: GPIO button handler start/restart
FIX: Various UI layout issues
FIX: String "Disc tag missing" appears in Library
If the rate of RC1 bug reports remains low after this update then there will be a final in-place update that bumps RC1 to 5.0 production release followed by release of moOde 5.0 ISO image and sources.
Timing for the production release is somewhat dependent on the release os shairport-sync 3.3.0. It's currently ar RC2 so shouldn't be too long of a wait.

hi
I tried Moode RCO and RC1. In both of them I had a problem with setting the volume. When I adjust the volume, the left channel stops playing. For example, volume settings on 22 left channel play, on 23 not plays, 24 plays, etc. With Moode 4.4 everything is fine. I have RPI3B+ Allo KALI+Piano 2.1.

Hello,
I want to install in-place update RC1 in System Config. Click on CHECK "for software update", always "Software is up to date". No inplace update has been installed.
What must I do else?

Said Up to Date for me and did not seem to do anything, but the player now shows higher resolution album covers. How do you check the version number within the software app?

Open System config and then Menu, About
It should show Release 5.0-RC1-21
The In-Place update will bump to 5.0-RC1-83

Thanks, it is still shows Release: 4.4 2018-12-09. When I press update, it still reports "Software Up to Date."

I thought I had the same problem, but then I realised I was using RC0, not RC1.

I thought I had the same problem, but then I realised I was using RC0, not RC1. I know this is going to be stupid, but i do not understand. What does using RCO or RC! mean? Do I have to load a new image file to update? I have the image file on the SD that I used for ver 4.4.

You can't update from 4.4. You need to download and install Moode 5.0 RC1, and then update if you want the latest version.
