does anyone know this new DAC?
I got it today and installed it.
As a driver, I took hifiberry-dac ...
But get no sound out ..

I see no problems first ....

Could also be that this card does not work with Raspberry 4

I put your log output in code boxes for readability. Its the 5th button from the right on the toolbar when composing a post.

The line below indicates that ALSA is sending an autio stream to the device.

Code:
Output rate: 24 bit, 44.1 kHz, Stereo, 2.117 Mbps

I would ask the manufacturere of the device what driver they require and whether the device is compatible with the 4B.

Hello Tim,
all good....
The DAC card works very well ...
The driver did not fit what was stated in the documentation
In another forum, I found the info to ....

@Cardone

So which "I2S Audio Device" choice on the Audio Config page works? From the minimal Abacus specs of the AroioDAC I'd guess "HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro" but inquiring minds want to know for sure  Smile

As an aside, this board bumps my count of commercial products containing the TI PCM 5122 chip to 16 (pretty much all are in moOde's database). The various reactions of reviewers to the sound they hear from these different products illustrates how much the result depends on all the circuitry and layout which surrounds the raw DAC chip. Caveat emptor.

Kent

In the documentation hifiberry-dac is specified as the driver. The driver was active but no sound.
After that I tried a few other drivers. I simply had no sound ....
In Volumio forum someone had used the driver hifiberry-dacplus ....
After a reboot came the sound .... Smile

Ciao

Ah, yes, I forgot, HiFiBerry developed a unified driver for the DAC+ and DAC+ Pro.

You would think the manufacturer of this DAC board would specify the correct driver to use. Certainly they must know that their documentation is wrong and that people are wasting their time trying to get their product to work.
