Solved: Incomplete ArtWork Scan
#1
Wink
Good day,

I am coming from a PiCorePlayer, and wanted to check MoOde for a second system. My installation on a Pi4 went mostly well, with the exception of my USB SSD not being recognized that I solved getting a different one, even if the SSD drive works well in another two (Mac, Windows) computers and formatted NTFS.

My issue is fairly minor, but I hope we will find a solution: some of the artwork is not shown properly, even If I have run every single album through a Metadata program and ensured all files have embedded their covers. That is a battle for another day, today the issue is the artwork scan stopped somewhere at the "L"

I have of course tried regenerating the Music Library, the Thumbnail cache, and rebooting several times... Any othe ideas??

Regardless of these issue, I already made a donation: I like to support products like this Cool

  Thanks in advance!

To troubleshoot try the following:

1. Reboot
2. Regenerate the thumbnail cache
3. Examine the Moode log for stats recorded by the thumbnail generator and any errors

Code:
moodeutl -l

Many thanks for your lighting fast response!

I unfortunately have no idea how to access the Moode log... Probably my mistake, but my interface with Moode is via browser http://moode.local and the menu options do not include log under System, Preferences, or anywhere that I can see... I have used Terminal on my Mac, but of course I use a keyboard and screen!

From the main Menu select Configure>System and scroll down to and enable the web terminal and open it,  then you can log in (user=pi password=moodeaudio   -unless you have changed those ?-) from the MoOde-web-interface and run the command Tim gave.

If your search seems to stop at 'L' then there is probably a mis-tagged file there...or an other than audio file ? or perhaps even the dreaded Mac 'dot file'
If it is stopping at Folder 468 as from your screenshot try removing that and restart the library update...if it completes then examine the removed folder.

You can use moOde's built in terminal as @DRONE7 suggested or from Mac terminal run one of the two commands below. The password is moodeaudio

ssh pi@moode

- or -

ssh pi@moode.local

Thank you Tim,

I tried the previous message advise, but without luck. Unfortunately the same applies to your advise This is the Terminal message for the first command:

To update your account to use zsh, please run `chsh -s /bin/zsh`.

Shuloffs-Pro:~ shuloff$ ssh pi@moode
ssh: Could not resolve hostname moode: nodename nor servname provided, or not known
Shuloffs-Pro:~ shuloff$

  and for the second:

Last login: Thu Jun  3 06:48:53 on ttys000

The default interactive shell is now zsh.
To update your account to use zsh, please run `chsh -s /bin/zsh`.

Shuloffs-Pro:~ shuloff$ ssh pi@moode.local
pi@moode.local's password:

on the right to the password there is an icon for a padlock, and I can not write anything.

BTW, the same padlock appears as I try to update the shell, and I cannot enter my computer password, nor touching the Touch ID makes anything

I am afraid I can still not connect, as I have no problem logging in, but cannot enter the password: i.e. my keyboard is unresponsive at that line. I tried typing-in, just wondering if the letters were simply not visible, but that is not the case
