No covers in Rigelian
#1
Moode 7.4.1 on Rpi2, Rigelian 2.5.0 on iOS 15.1 and MacOS 11.6.1 (basically, all latest).

Rigelian is not getting any covers or Artist images. They are just fine in Moode webUI. Is that supposed to work? If so, is this a Rigelian or a Moode issue? I’m new to Moode, used Volumio before but that’s so incredibly buggy, I had to switch.

Thanks!

EDIT: no covers in any app like Cantata or Persephone.

You'll need to contact those app maintainers for support on getting cover art.

What Tim said.

I didn't know Rigelian so I just now installed it on my iPad to see what it does. It looks very good, it's cute that it can be commanded from Siri, and it doesn't meet any need I have so I'm going to delete it now.

However, it does display the cover for every album for which I have a Cover.jpg file in the album directory. OTOH it displays a default icon for every album for which there is a cover image embedded in every track but no Cover.jpg file in the album directory.

Looking at the Rigelian FAQ and the setup screens, it appears they know moOde and its coverart.php function. It's up to them to sort out what's happening with their interface.

As for Artist images, I have none so can't comment.

Regards,
Kent

Thanks, I have used this script https://github.com/regosen/get_cover_art to generate new cover.jpg images, and that shows in Rigelian. Case closed, thanks.

Just downloaded and tried Rigelian, what an excellent app, reminds me of Soundirok which is no longer supported.
