[SOLVED] No Sound after active rotary encoder

Hi,

I am new to moode and everything works perfect, but when i activate the rotary encoder there is no sound. When i turn the knob, the volume on the homescreen changes, but still no sound...

After disable the rotary encoder and restart the system the sound is back again. I tried it several times, always the same.


System:
- Moode 7.5.0
- Raspberry 4
- Hifiberry Amp2

Quick test with my Allo Katana DAC + ALPS rotary encoder and no issues.

Leave the encoder ON in Audio Config then reboot and post the Moode startup log.

No errors in the log but the log does show both the rotary encoder and GPIO button handler are ON. The encoder uses GPIO pins and it's not evident what the GPIO button handler is controlling but possibly there is some sort of conflict. Also I see that the audio device supports hardware volume but MPD is still set to software volume. That won't matter to the rotary encoder driver but generally its preferable to use hardware volume if the audio device supports it.

GPIO is activ but no button is configured, so I turned it off and set MPD mixer to hardware, there ist still no sound after reboot. I have also already tried to reinstall the whole system and with another raspberry, unfortunately without success

Problem fixed, i change de GPIO for the CLK and DT from 18/17 to standard 23/24, reboot and it works, whatever the reason

HIFIBERRY AMP2

GPIO2-3 (pins 3 and 5) are used by our products for configuration. If you are experienced with I2C, you might add other slave devices. If you a a novice, we don’t recommend this at all.

GPIOs 18-21 (pins 12, 35, 38 and 40) are used for the sound interface. You can’t use these for any other purpose.

GPIO4 is used to control the MUTE function of the power stage. Pulling it to low will mute the output.
