Searching library/database

I'm working on a way to compare a downloaded playlist from Spotify to the files already in the moode library, but I haven't found a way to search the library outside of Moode yet. Is there a api call published (I looked), or a database call I can run? I'm working on this through Python, but am open to another language depending on how to access the library.


Any ideas would be useful. Thanks.
