Touchscreen: touch to wake up only when screen is blanck (no action wanted)
#1
Hi,

I am using moodeaudio with a touchscreen, and with "screen blanck" option activated.

Here is my request:
when the screen is blanck, I touch it to wake it up.
But, the fact to touch the screen is also taken into account like an action, e.g. to activate a button.
Is it possible to only wake up the screen, and take actions into account only when the screen is NOT blanck?

Thanks

I think it's the X11 server that is responsible for capturing a touch event that brings the display out of screen blank mode. I would  search / ask on the Raspberry Pi Forum.

Hi! Any news about this issue?
It is really blocking, we have to guess where is a neutral zone to wake up the screen...

I had the very same request/wish... Unfortunately this seems to be X-related, and I am no X expert to tackle with it; BUT...
If you touch-and-drag, no action is taken, and you end up with just the screen lit again...

Just my 2c

sure, this is the right workaround. But I'm not the only one who use it, and I prefer solving these kind of issue to keep the system user frendly...
