[PROBLEM] Random not working on playlists if auto shuffle is on

With auto shuffle on when using a playlist the random button turns red but the playlist just plays one song after the other as listed. 
Any way around this other than going into the configuration menu and turning auto shuffle on and off as required?
Is it possible to make the random button cycle through some options eg global random, current queue/playlist random ?

Having a single button cycle through several types of random play modes would be challenging because there is no good way to represent the different modes as icons unlike something like audio mute/unmute which has standard icons to represent the two modes.

What about having the ability to toggle auto shuffle on and off in the same menu and in the same way as consume, repeat etc?

I can add to the TODO list to investigate but it would take another dev that is interested Ito do the work because my plate is chronically overflowing with priority 1 items :-0
