Possibility to manage Analog and S/PDIF inputs
#1
Hi all,
I'm thinking to replace my audio sytem based on a preamp/streamer (CYRUS XP series).

I'd like to make a system based on RPi and a DAC, for streaming music located on my NAS, and listening to webradio. I've already done  it and it's working in my garage using Moodeaudio of course.  In addition I want to add one/two digital S/PDIF input and possibly one/two  analog input. For example, needed for audio TV or Play Station, this is how I'm working now with the old system.

It would be easyer for me to build such a system by using dedicated additional cards on RPi, just for example like this one :
https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/dac-and-i...16890.html

The question obviously is if I can manage and select these additional inputs using Moodeaudio, otherwise it doesn't make sense such a way. Huh
The alternative is the using of external NOT RPi managed interfaces/converters, and use an analog input selector to address the music to the power amplifier.
But it would be nice to avoid it and managing all using Moodeaudio, without any (or the minum possible) external boards and connections.

Hoping to have been clear...
Thanks to all.

moOde supports input switching in the UI for the following two boards:

1. HifiBerry DAC+ ADC (Analog input)
2. Audiophonics ES9038Q2M DAC (S/PDIF input)

The unit I have is the RASPDAC MINI which is a complete kit. For just the ES9038Q2M board you would prolly need to refer to an Audiophonics tech sheet that describes all the headers and pin outs.
https://www.audiophonics.fr/en/search?se...es9038+dac

Other boards would require dropping to the command line and manually entering whatever commands are needed for a particular board to do input switching.

Also note that for the two boards that are supported in moOde UI the input to output routing occurs within the board itself and thus moOde DSP or EQ does not apply.
Enjoy the Music!

Hi,

I too have an DIY Audiophonics system based on the upgraded version of their ES9038Q2M board (the current one on sale) and their SPCII power management board.

I found back the following document which might be useful for your project : ES9038 connections

I just noticed that Audiphonics provides a board for SPDIF input selection Input selector.
A script would be needed to drive the selection button input...

Regards.
