How to clone to a new larger sd
#1
hi

i ve started using moode audio in a 4gb test sd .. I hope it was large enough.. today the update requires 500 gb...

i have some question considering that I have no audio files on sd.

- can I clone my 4gb in a 16 gb sd or I have to expand the partition?

- when I backup via software in my moode audio .. the backup includes /etc/config.txt ?

- it's better don't waste time e re flash iso in a new sd and re import backup?

thanks so much for any reply

\Since you don't have any music files on the SD (which anyway, it's easy to copy BTW...) why don't you just:

1. make a backup of your configuration
2. install a fresh new 8.3.1
3. restore your backup configuration

Seems the obvious to me...

P.S.
What is /etc/config.txt?

The latest versions of moOde automatically expand to take all the space on the SD card these days. I confess I don't know if successive in-place updates from before this time will make that expansion happen. I've also checked and my moOde systems all occupy around 3G, so 4 should be enough to run, but maybe a bit tight for the update process.
I would recommend creating a moOde backup from the system settings page, then flash a fresh image to an 8 or 16 card and restore the backup to that.

Well, take it out manually, then restore it on the freshly flashed new SD... no big deal me thinks.
