[PROBLEM] no display of thumbnails after update

After the update to 8.3.7 the thumbnails of my library on the NAS disappeared and despite having cleared the cache and rescanned the library and related reconstruction of the thumbnails nothing has changed. The strange thing is that if I request to view the latest albums inserted they are regularly displayed. No problem with displaying covers if you use TAG search.

Open Library Config and Regenerate the thumbnails. Click View status periodically and when it shows "Done..." post the contents of the startup log either via the command moodeutl -l or it can be downloaded via the Logs section of System Config.

First errors are those of the thumbnail generator. Since the files are FLAC, you may want to check if they indeed contain a VORBIS COMMENT metadata tag, as some programs attach a id3v2 one (typical for MP3 / DSF) and the library for thumbnail extraction in moOde is picky: wants the metadata tag to be the accepted standard for the file type.

Then it shows clearly that 1721 thumbnails have been created, and 5 were already there...

The other errors (16:51...) are those of the UI when trying to display the embedded art (probably on the ScreenSaver view)

Do you really not see ANY cover-art...?
