Solved: Radio stream stops after several hours
#1
Hey everybody,

i've added a new radio station to the list. It is called "Deluxe Music Radio". The stream plays for 3-4 hours without problems.
But after that irregular time the stream stops without a reason.

Does anyone have an idea why?  Confused

Stream link i used:

Now i had a tail -f on /var/log/mpd/log and it shows me the following messages:

Nov 12 10:16 : player: played "https://deluxe-radio.mivitec.net:8443/0005"
Nov 12 11:58 : exception: CURL failed: GnuTLS recv error (-110): The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.

Nov 12 11:58 : exception: Failed to decode https://deluxe-radio.mivitec.net:8443/0005
Nov 12 11:58 : exception: nested: CURL failed: Failed to connect to deluxe-radio.mivitec.net port 8443: Connection refused

What does it mean? Can i do something or is it a problem of the streaming radio?

The station might be timing out connections after some number of hours. There are a couple of stations that do this.
Enjoy the Music!

Hey Tim,

yes you are right. Its the radiostream provider. Unfortunately i need this radio for purpose.

Is it posible to start a specific radio stream with a command?
Then maybe i could write a script which monitors the stream and if its interrupted it sends the command to reconnect.

Hope you can help me

Hey everyone.

I found a workaround for this problem. I set the MPD Settings to 30% Buffer and 16384 KB. Then i addeted the same radio 5 times in the playlist with replay funktion on.

Now it streams since 28 Hours.
