Parametric EQ Curve Settings
#1
Hi, MoOde Audio is an amazing piece of software. Thank you Mr. Curtis for your contribution to the audio world. Lately, I've been reading about and playing with Parametric EQ Curve settings. My internet searches about instrument frequency's brought me to a chart showing the HZ value for the eighty-eight keys on the piano. The chart also listed the "Cooresponding Open Strings" HZ value for the Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass & Guitar. I wondered what would happen if I created a Curve setting based on an eight string guitar which figures promenently in the music genre I listen to most.

So, here are the settings I used. I was amazed by the sound difference after applying the settings in the MoOde v9.1.3 software. You can definitely go down the rabbit hole and spend many hours tweaking to your hearts content. So many settings, so little time!
You'll find the base Parametric EQ setting in the Configuration Settings - Audio - under the Equalizer config settings page. Turn it on, create a New Curve, type in the settings, Save it and then set your MoOde player to use the new Curve. I restarted the player and made sure the setting persisted (again, nice work Mr. Curtis).

MoOde also has a very nice "Test" button too in the Parametric EQ Curve screen. Start a track playing, tweak the "Band" settings, press "Test" and your track automatically starts over with your new tweaks. So cool!

NOTE: The attached .jpg shows the settings I used for Bands 1-10. Bands 11 & 12 weren't set.

Have fun, stay safe and enjoy the music!
