pi zero 2w and bluetooth
#1
hey

i can't get the Bluetooth rendered to work on my pi zero 2 w

sometimes I see moode as Bluetooth device and often I don't
when I enter the 6 digit code to connect, the connection can't be established

am I missing something? amd I doing something wrong or should I reconfigure something?

I don't think the PIN code feature works, at least I can't get it to work using an iPhone.

I have several of these configurations in my house and they all work fine with PIN code set to ‘None’.  After reading the thread I set one to have a 6-digit code as a test and can confirm it doesn’t work then - won’t connect after responding with the code. Set it back to None and it worked fine like normal.

I can establish a working Bluetooth connection from my Pixel 6a phone (Android 14) to a Pi 5 running a testing version of moOde 9.1.5 with a 6-digit PIN enabled. I can’t with my iPad.

Seems to me I saw this Android-vs-iOS issue when the PIN feature was introduced but I’ve lost track of what I did then to try to diagnose it.

Kent

for me the primary issue is, that I don't even see the Bluetooth most times and wonder if it's a issue with the zero

What device are you trying to connect? How far away is it from the Pi? Any obstacles in between?
