Following the Build Recipe for 4.3, I can get it to build on Pi Desktop (Raspbian for x86) with the following issues:
udisks-glue apparently does not exist for Debian Stretch. I'm not interested in mounting USB disks anyway, so ..
MPD does not auto start. Requires systemctl start mpd
Skipping Bluetooth and the Pi/ARM/SDCard stuff, largely starting at wget r43.zip after doing the equivalent configurations as setting up the SD Card, except for Desktop Debian or Raspberry Pi Desktop.
But it's not acting quite right.
You can get to the config/sources page once. Add a NAS source, Firefox will prompt that the page needs to be re-submitted a little while after SAVE is selected.
...and then again. Again, again. Never wants to actually finish on it's own.
So you start over at http://moode again - you'll see the message that the database update has been initiated, but there is (pretty much to be expected) no configured sources.
After that, you can't re-access any of the config menu pages with reliability, the browser will just keep on "Waiting for ... "
I'd really like to use MoOde over Volumio. They offer a desktop build option that works, but that's where the fun stops. The browser interface they've got just blows.
I want to use desktop hardware as I want to use the server for other things too.
