Hello World

Hello,

I’m a new user to this community. I had an old raspberry pi lying around, and saw online you can purchase DAC HATs for them. I had no idea this was a thing. I’ve since gone down the audio rabbit hole. I was running HiFiberryOS64 for a while, but I have run into numerous issues with that OS. I have since installed moode and it’s been a much smoother experience for me.

I currently use my raspberry Pi 4B+ with a HiFiberry DAC2 HD. I stream to it using airplay. I saw recently in the shairport-sync GitHub repo that a new version in the dev branch supports both Apple Lossless audio and Apple surround sound! Can’t wait for that.

So far this seems like a great community and I’m happy to be here.
