Solved: MPD port 6600 - connection refused
#1
Hi.

Suddenly, anytime I try to go to Configuration Settings and press a button,
everything becomes unresponsive and moOde 9.2.6 and 9.3.0 hangs.
Freshly installed many times, it happens again and again.

Reboot and then post the entire contents of the startup log.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

Hi Tim.
System is unresponsive at all. I can't reboot the system via the UI, so I had to manually switch it off.

Its not obvious to me what might be happening but if both r926 and r930 systems are experiencing the same issue then it would suggest something external thats common to both.

Version 9.3.0 was working fine here until recently. I changed something in mpd settings,
hit "Save" and the system freezed.
Since hard restarting I couldnt press any settings button without making moOde unresponsive again.

What setting(s) did you change?

If I remember well, I was trying to increase Audio buffer size.

Very odd that such a change would cause a hang but it may be that the MPD config file has somehow been corrupted.

You could try to delete it via the command below.
sudo rm /etc/mpd.conf

And then reboot or do a hard poweroff/on
It should be recreated during moOde startup but its a scenario that I've never encountered so YMMV

sudo rm /etc/mpd.conf didnt help.

I have manage to do a fresh 9.3.0 install and rebuilt music database.
After that, I restored my v9.2.6 backup. looking good.

Thanks for your prompt response, Tim.
