BT Remote for Pause/Play
#1
Has anyone connected (to the RPi) something like a Bluetooth remote that would allow me to press pause/play (so I don't have to open a web page to do it).

A device like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Satechi-Bluetoo...B00RM75NL0 ?

I use any available infrared remote laying around with a flirc-tv usb thing. Using triggerhappy to select radio stations with the numeric buttons.

That's a cute little device.

Six years ago, I spent some time trying to get an earlier Satechi Bluetooth Remote (billted itself as "Bluetooth Media Control & Camera Shutter Click System Control" in Bluetooth) to play nice with a much earlier release of moOde.

There was some messing around getting it to pair and connect and I was never haooy with the way it would self-disconnect after some internal timeout. Those were pre-triggerhappy days. These days, with moOde's Bluetooth subsystem focused on audio devices, I wouldn't try to use a BT remote directly.

By a year later, I and others had written up a number of posts describing how we used remotes, including after the transition to triggerhappy. These coveered the FLIRC but also other USB-input devices. You can search the Forum. Note that there's a lot of repetition of ideas because we all have a habit of not reading others' contributions first Tongue

Just this May, @scaronpce started a very nice thread describing the use of triggerhappy with moOde's current API, much of which was not available 5/6 years ago.

Have fun.
