Well.....there is another problem!
It appears that the batch of expansion boards, of which mine was one.....have been flashed with SATA firmware, and not the correct NVMe!
There is a 'fix' out there...but can't get it to run on my board....so it's back to PiHut today

Not sure why you're surprised really! The male/male usb lead just takes the place of the male/male 'U' connector that is supplied with the device Smile
Next...to install OS on the SSD so it can boot from there, instead of the SD card!
