Hi
after using moode since a few weeks, I am thinking of putting my old records on my NAS.
I would prefer lossless output and have an (old) Thorens MM turntable with a new pick-up (correct translation?).
I am looking for a phono pre-amp with an USB output and would use Audacity (unless told otherwise) either on Windows 10 or a MAC.
Which pre-amp can be recommended ?
Searching the www I rarely find any info about the soundcard in these pre-amps ......
Thanks for any feedback

Depending on how many albums you want to capture, I'd consider Vinyl Studio as opposed to Audacity. It's much slicker, and the feature that really speeds things up is it's ability to split sides into songs, lookup the album on online databases and find the song names for each individual song fille. I've done this process manually on Audacity and it works fine, but you don't want to do it for years to come. I suppose my tolerance might be to use Audacity for 20-30 albums but not many more.

Good point
I'd say about 200 album - which is some months work - so software is another topic.
Thx I will look into that too

Hi
currently I am using a Pro-Ject MaiA Pre. I am satisfied with the quality only do not like, that the output level of the turntable is much higher than the one from the moode Pi - therefore I was thinking of a preamp, where I could adjust the level of the turntable and use it too for digitalizing my old records.
I have no idea, if grabbing the analog output signal of the MaiA and recording this will result in a sufficient quality. I would hate to play about 200 vinyl, optimize quality, reduce clips and cut and tag them and have "low" quality.
Korg is too expensive (at least I think so at the moment) - I had thought of spending sth between 100 and 200 € / $ for hardware.
