What I don't see here is any statement about possible tracks on the SDCARD or local USB drives. MPD counts them too and not just the tracks on the common NAS.

If you were really curious you could start both systems with their MPD logs cleared, then tell each one to regenerate its library. Compare the (30+K, yikes) update lines in the two logs when done. You'd probably want to write a script to automate the comparison
