The .ko file is the custom driver for the ASIX USB/Ethernet chip on the SIG. The driver file is compiled by Allo and is kernel-specific. moOde 6.7.1 runs kernel 5.4.61 and includes the correct ASIX driver file.
When moOde 7 is released it may be based on a newer Linux kernel and in that case it will include the ASIX driver file compiled for that kernel.
