I've been using the Sig for a while, coupled with an allo Rev and moOde to drive liquid music out of my NAS. I've got a full JRiver MC license, and connecting is a breeze all flawless and perfect...except for one thing: I miss so badly the (maybe too sophisticated) playlists that I still have on iTunes, tried to replicate on JMC but without the same ease and simplicity.
Now: if one wants to stream out of a mac TO the Sig+moOde music managed through iTunes, is there a way to do that other than...AirPlay 2? Asking, since the drop in quality of hi-res audio, good quality recordings, is definitely audible (you know, AirPlay comes with some severe limitations both in bitrate and sample rate).
Sorry if the question was already asked, I searched but to no avail: very grateful for any hints to, or else no probs I'll make do and stick with the solution I've got already, that's so close to Great!
Thank you.
You should be able to share out the directory containing your iTunes files via SMB then connect to it by creating a "Music source" definition in moOde Library Config. If you are using a Mac I can post some steps to do this. If you are on Windows maybe someone else can post steps.
